Nov 12, 2008 - I never heard of this "hand up" bailout?????
DameDiabolique Says:
Nov 12, 2008 - Well the Democrats are proposing a new stimulus package for the poor and a bailout for the Auto Industry...THESE ARE PEOPLE WHO WE NEED TO BAILOUT. I mean of the Auto Industry fails then we will end up importing ALL of our cars from foreign countries and lose all of our manufacturing jobs and will hurt our chances for Energy Independence.

Nov 12, 2008 - This is rich, everyone is looking the other way and Paulson is doing sneaky things, sounds just like the good old Bush crap that's been going on for 8 years, they need to be prosecuted.
RTSOKOVA Says:
Nov 12, 2008 - Obama needs to do something before Paulson spend all the $700 billions in buying stocks in the banks that will be worth $0.0 when Bush is out of the office. They should be spending the bailout buying bad assets that are at least assets even after the bank go bankrupt becuase is atleast something tangible. Obama should speak out about this and ask the congress to take action! He should make it clear to the public what Bush and Republicans are doing!!!!
NanoLopez2 Says:
Nov 12, 2008 - The bailout shouldnt have passed. Micheal Burgess Texas representative & Brad Sherman California representative were both threatened with marshal law if they didnt pass it.Central bankers have us by the short hairs & are literally raping us.They seem to be accountable to no one. However,if the bailout didn't pass whole world would blame the depression on us.They will anyway. Now we have the G20 summit this weekend(aka Brettonwoods II)where they will change the rating of the dollar.Cant be good.

Nov 12, 2008 - Agreed, but this time, the auto makers have to dance to OUR flutes, and this would be a great time to say, "Manufacture them HERE only (not in Mexico), make electric cars for SALE, not lease, and restore safety features." I am sick of businesses asking for subsidies under the pretense of saving jobs, then exporting the jobs anyway. If they wanna hire foreigners, let the foreign country bail them out.

Nov 20, 2008 - you FUCKING SPEAK IThell yes, at first when reading your comment, i was iffy but once you hit the keeping jobs in AMERICA part i was ALL WITH YOU. how long ago was it that these companies were making record capital. That is what really annoys me, How long ago was it, and when they were making so much bank what the fuck did these little back stabbing pricks do, SEND JOBS TO OTHER COUNTRIES. these companies were created on the hard working backs of American men and women. KEEP THEM IN USA
hollywoodartchick Says:
Nov 20, 2008 - Good point - they don't send jobs overseas because they are in deep doo-doo, but also when they are hugely profitable! For a while they had us fooled that offshoring was about the unions pushing too hard and too far (Well, you and I were not fooled), but they are the ones who pushed too hard and too far, and now we are finished with being fooled. Their bad choices should not = us being out of work.
