I've worked for mainstream newspapers 30 years, and after the kiss-ass coverage of the runup to the Iraq war, virtually no major media looked legitimate to me. They all cover the presidential race like it's a horse race. It's all about who's ahead by how much, with VERY little coverage of substantive issues.
