Oct 4, 2008 - honestly you should use the thumb method because it helps you gain speen when playing faster riffs that have pinch harmonics. it just kind of limits you to have to put a finger over another fret when you can just slide your thumb down the pick. if you just practice it until you get it down its worth it. i can get a pinch almost every fret of every string using my thumb. idk maybe its just because i never really liked the other way. idk haha
