This goes to show that a little engine can make a lot of noise! It is an ALCO built B-4 0-6-0 switch engine, built in August 1920, equipped with power reverse, Walschaert valve motion, piston valves, superheaters, and a 5000 gallon tender. It has two whistles, the larger one is a 6 chime and the smaller one is a 3 chime. The locomotive weighs 150,000 pounds, and it has a tractive effort of 31,200 pounds. It was built to operate at a pressure of 180 pounds per square inch and it continues to operate at that pressure today. Finnish freight train 4059 from Kemira, Siilinjärvi, to Kokkola at Iisalmi station at 22.7.2007. Two non-rebuilt Dv12-class diesel locomotives (2528+2532) start main engines, and freight train 4059 is starting to roll to track 4's northern main signal. This Southern Pacific Locomotive ran the Coast Daylight route between Los Angeles and San Francisco in the early 1940s. The engine was retired in 1957. After years on display in Portland, Oregon, the engine was fully restored in the 1970s. Today it runs limited tours in the Pacific Northwest. This footage of the 4449 is passing by Bend, Oregon heading back to Portland, Oregon, after an overnight stay in Bend. All the train cars have been fully restored, including the two California Zephyr Cars on the end. Update note: The caretakers of the 4449 are currently hoping to find a permanent home for the SP4449 engine.
