日本ターンテーブリスト界待望のニューグループ「ZION」がドイツの世界大会に出場!!!EVENT : Hip Hop World Challenge 2005DATE : September the 9th & 10thPLACE : Leipzig ( Germany )TEAM : ZION (JAPAN), Lordz of Fitness (GERMANY), C2C (FRENCE), DIRTY DUO (AUS) ZION (DJ MASA, DJ TAKAKI, DJ HARA, DJ REI-Z)9月9日、10日と2日間に渡ってHIP HOPの一大イベント「HIP HOP WORLD CHALLENGE 2005」 がドイツはLEIPZIGにて行われた。DJ 、BEAT BOXING、BREAK DANCEの3種の世界大会を含んだ大規模なイベントとなった。特にBEAT BOXINGにおいては初の世界大会となる。そして、今回のDJバトルはチームを主体としており、オーストラリアから「DIRTY DUO」、フランスから2003&2004年のDMCチーム世界チャンピオン「C2C」、地元ドイツより昨年のITFチーム世界チャンピオン「LORDZ OF FITNESS」、そしてアジア代表として昨年、同じくここドイツで行われた「2004 I.T.F. WORLD FINAL」において日本人初となる世界2位という快挙を成し遂げたDJ HARA率いる「ZION」の強豪4チーム。1日目にトーナメント方式で2チーム同士がチームバトルで争い、勝ち残った2チームが2日目に行われるFINALで「ADVANCE」「BEAT JUGGLING」「SCRACH」の3種のバトルによってチャンピオンを決める。ここでアジア代表の「ZION」のメンバーの紹介を行っておこう。まずは言わずと知れた昨年のITF WORLD FINALにおいて見事世界二位に輝いた今、最も 期待のターンテーブリストのDJ HARA。今年のDMC JAPAN FINALIST他、数多くの大会で好成績を収めてきたDJ MASA。１４歳という若さでターンテーブルを触り始め、わずか２年後にはDMC JAPAN FINAL において史上最年少となる３位入賞を果たしたDJ TAKAKI。そして2002年、アジア代表として出場したVESTAX Extravaganza World Final 2002において世界第４位と いう結果を残したDJ REI-Zと現在、日本のターンテーブリスト界の第一線で活躍中の四 人で構成されているチーム「ZION」。会場はLEIPZIGにある巨大イベントスペース ZION @ Hip Hop...
