Breed Specific Legislation is fast becoming out of control and is spreading like an uncontrollable Cancer across the globe!. Some many breeds are being persecuted under this Bill and many thousands of innocent dogs are dying purely because of what they are or what they look like....regardless if they are good tempered and well behaved or not. The UK has taken the stand of banning 4 breeds in the country under the 'Dangerous Dogs Act' 1991/97....sadly many dogs have been seized or handed in purely because they resemble a Pit Bull and are so deemed as a 'PB Type'......many have not an ounce of bully in them but are crossbreeds of a different type all together...but if they resemble a PB in anyway and considered a threat to human society..then they are seized,imprisoned in unknown,security kennels for months on end with no allowed visitations from their owners and are left to wait until a court decides their fate.......a majority of these seized dogs have done no wrong other than look like a Pit Bull. NO breed of dog is born vicious...they are made that way by irresponsible owners and those that think of them as status symbols or fighting machines. I do not walk down my street,see a person of a different culture or race and immediately assume that they are a threat to either myself or my country......therefore why should Pit Bull's and other breeds,automatically be seen as potentionally dangerous and deadly??. BSL is in short a racist and prejudice law......applied by those,who would rather blame the breed rather than the deed when in fact they should be dealing with the problem the other way around.....Blame the Deed NOT the Breed!!!!!........scrap BSL.....Ban the Breed bans!!!!.
