Crystal Silence on new Yamaha CP300I bought a Yamaha CP300 which arrived yesterday. This post was done as a first take within the first few hours of receiving it. Needless to say, I am excited about getting a new board. I haven't had time to explore it yet or even read the manual. I hope to make use of the on board sequencer and customize the voices a bit. This is the stock Grand Piano 1 with the touch response set to medium.I thought it might be interesting to revisit Crystal Silence, since this crisp Yamaha patch reminds me of the Chick Corea sound. I haven't played this tune since I last posted it to YouTube months ago. This version sounds different for several reasons. I was in a different frame of mind, and I was playing an acoustic piano on the first post. I think the biggest factor is that I haven't played this tune in a long time. It's a little strange, but if I don't play a piece for a long time, when I do play it, it usually comes out differently. If I play a piece frequently, the versions all start sounding too similar. I don't know if that happens with other musicians as well. Sorry for the length of it, I got a little carried away. Crystal Silence...
